I frequent Somi Somi and this location is great! Located in downtown Cupertino on Main Street, there is lots of parking available. I always get the Upside Down Ahbong with Nutella filling and Cookies & Cream Ice Cream which never fails to satisfy my sweet tooth. There are other fillings/ice cream flavors available like Matcha and Black Sesame in case you are craving something a little less sweet. Quick service and complimentary toppings. Highly recommend!
I had a wonderful experience with the worker Hannah. She was so kind to me and made me my order promptly. I could tell she had a bright smilie under her mask when she handed me my icecream. What a wonderful employee give her a raise!
More of a to-go spot. Very small inside and No seating. Despite the line, it went quick! Ube & matcha swirl was tasty and packed a punch of flavor. You definitely know what flavor you got. Got some matcha powder sprinkled on top. I wish they could accommodate a stack bc the flavors I initially wanted were not swirled. Outside seemed to be nice if it wasn't raining this day.
I absolutely love this place! I always go for the upside down ah-boong (a delicious combo of taiyaki and soft serve). Plus, you get free toppings, which is a huge bonus! There's tons of outdoor seating, so it's perfect for a chill hangout. It's always packed, but the staff is super quick at taking orders and whipping up your treats. Definitely a must-visit!
Somi somi is one of my go-to ice cream spot. I enjoy how it's always not too overly sweet and also creamy. The ice cream I ordered was a matcha and milk combo, Ah-boong style, which is a fish shaped waffle cone. For the ah-boong, you can choose from a selection of fillings for your cone, such as custard. I believe that this location was the first to open in the Bay Area! The line use to be really long, but now it's quicker. The chain is originally from SoCal where I first had it. :-) I'm glad there are more chains opened around the Bay Area!
